I want to breed my LO/bantam blue cochin with my frizzle hens that lay a grey egg.

look at that strut... that was the kind of boy you loved to hate back in the day...

I don't have a project per say but am working at increased size and width of my boys and in turn girls. There's a lot of work ahead just in that. Made some crucial mistakes in culling past few years. Live and learn. Not a complete setback but definitely stalled things some and overall goal may not be realized with genetics left in flock. Only time will tell.

Currently I'm trying to breed Black Star hens to other breeds to create better, healthier, egg layers. I love my Isa Browns and Black Stars, but I don't like how short their lifespan is because of how cruelly bred they were. Ironically, every chick I've hatched so far is a cockerel
Another "project" is to breed frizzles and silkies to as many breeds as I can to make new adorable mutts. Currently I've got ADORABLE Belgian Quail silkies, they've got cute tiny hats!

I collect roosters, so I'm loving every new guy I get. Roosters are gorgeous!

Chickens just turn up...

Store chicks from just the other day, I put them in with a broody, plus 2 she hatched. (blue wyandottes.) and a tall Barred rock.

I'll say that to hubbs after my very first hatch see what he says lolol I mean I have plenty of time to work him into it lol no one is laying yet soo ...
