What is your "Thanks" in Thanksgiving?

Hi! I am so incredibly thankful that I was able to spend the day with my family --- my Mom, step-dad, my brother and sisters, and all their chick-lets (and not to be rude, but there were no 'extra people' so it was just us [there are usually other people invited and Mom being hostess *has to spend time with the extra people* and I'm jealous. Selfish of me, but it was great not to have my Mom's attention so divided.]) .
I wish I could get the Husband in the spirit of the holiday, so the 5 hour drive could be joyful and not a **dreaded thing** --- I'm excited, but he hates the drive. I'm thankful he didn't get horribly cranky.
I'm thankful my young nieces and nephews even recognize me (I adore them).
I'm thankful the siblings that don't get along --- got along for the day.
I'm thankful the 20 lb smoked turkey we did was PERFECTION (but most of my family just don't enjoy turkey, there was plenty of ham for them).
I'm thankful that all the critters were OK when we got back home (that is the greatest thing I'm thankful for now that I'm home).
I hope everyone had as great a Thanksgiving Day.

Today I am thankful I managed to keep toast and chicken soup down. I caught a bug

I am also thankful that we can have our celebration on Saturday which gives me two extra days to prepare and it is never stressful.

I am thankful I am employed, happy, healthy kids, a roof over my head and a great man by my side.

I'm just so thankful to have another year with my wife and kids, my parents and grandbaby, all our friends, my critters and to be at least semi-healthy and living in a free country.

Thank you!!! It is mild bug, but I am really thankful I didn't have to cook today!!!!!

Thankful that my daughter is visiting for Thanksgiving. Thankful that my old friend Kevin joined us. Thankful for my beloved husband getting healthier every day. Thankful for my son not being expelled from school. Thankful I got an egg today from my chickens. Thankful for my great doggie and wonderful kitties and funny chickens and cute chicks.

The turkey turned out (even if it got done way earlier than I expected) and the bread was great (except for the part that stuck to the pan...) and the apple pie was yummy (except that the apples were a bit crisper than normal). So yeah - the meal was great but everything was a little different from what I expected it to be.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I'm thankful for my chooks. They've taught me so much. Before I had them, I thought chickens were nothing - that they could not feel, that they didn't matter. Oh, my - how wrong I was! I'm thankful for every day I have with them and what they've taught me.

I'm thankful for my other animals for the same thing - my old watch dog Muffin, especially. I don't think I'd be here right now without her.

I'm thankful for my mother, best friend, and other family/friends who have pulled me through really tough times and sickness.

I'm thankful for always having food, clothes, and shelter. For being able to hear, see, feel, and taste.

And of course for BYC for giving me a great reprieve from schoolwork!
