What it Costs to Win....... A Horse Show!!!!!

Thanks All! We are very blessed to have both boys with us! This has been a labor of love for many years, I have traded, sold , leased mares and other horses over the years to obtain the quality of horses that we have now. We did strictly paint horses for many years and when the opportunity to own Cool came our way, we decided it was best to go back to Quarter Horses. Our senior mare is 23, she was bred to a Multiple World Champion last year and delivered us a Gorgeous Colt this year, he will remain our Junior Stallion.
She is bred back to Cool and this will be her last foal for us. We were able to trade a mare last year and get a very well bred Palomino Mare , she was to be my Showmanship and Western Pleasure Mare, we got her before we got Cool. I bred her to Cool for a foal next year, I will show her a bit later this year and then she will have the first part of the season next year off to deliver and raise her foal.

I am finally beginning to live part of my dream!

Congrats!

Oy...when I think of how cheap showing used to be, and lessons, and board, and bags of feed, NF memberships...oy.

It used to be a lot cheaper, luckily we keep them at home, and I fit all my own halter horses and start my riders. I have a very good friend who is a well known trainer and he works with me on finishing the riders. We are only showing locally and actually this month with my Payback money it cost me $3 to show in 5 classes.

Thank you so much! We are very proud of him !

Just wanted to say that your horses are beautiful.

On a side note, I saw one of your APHA Crockett has Mr. Fancy Bonanza in his pedigree. My paint gelding also has that sire in his line as well.
