What job do you do?

Self employed, I do logging and land clearing for the past 25 or so years, actually about 30 years. Chickens are my fun hobby/job.

I waited tables for about 20 years, then cooked for about 15, then had brain surgery, and am on Social Security, and living in the lap of luxury.

Currently, working part-time at a convenience store for the summer. I'm a full time college student studying Visual Communications/Marketing. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a job in the marketing field when I graduate next May.

My Daughter surprised me with twin Grand daughters so I now stay home and do full time day care for her three year old girl and twin one year old daughters ..( it was easier working full time ) My husband works for the Railroad and is gone a lot .. I still have a ten and 14 year old son, so other than day care and being a full time mom, I also sell my Eggs, some chicks, meal worms .. and hope to be branching off selling more things in the future.. working on a more home steading life style.. My First Goat is due to have her baby in July .. and I am steadily increasing the animals and homes for them . My Long term goal is to have a Free mini petting zoo ( with farm animals ) play area for local special needs children .

I work for a company that makes the material that goes into cigarette filters. It also is used to make the filler for magic markers, used in diapers (shudder! I know the chemicals that goes into this stuff..would NOT want it near my babies bottom..well, if I had a baby..

) It's used in a lot of stuff, not just cigarette filters. The pay is good but the "politics" on the job are ridiculous!!! But I can't complain..


I also sell scrapbook materials on the side for Close To My Heart. That part I love! I don't do scrapbooking much, I make all my cards. I don't buy store cards anymore. I love designing and making my own!

Plus he works at a local factory building landfill compactors (big tractors that smash the trash in landfills) 50+ hours a week

HA! I work at a landfill - I bet we have some of his work at one of our sites. I'm in the scalehouse, about a mile from the actual 'workign face' where the trash is, but I get an up close and personal wiff as it passes my windows.

I own a landscaping company, we do every thing from mowing lawns to land claring . Currently I mow 60 lawns a week. Chickens are my hobby but I hope to have a farm someday and sell organic milk, eggs and meat.

I'm a nurse working part time in an ICU while attending grad school to be a nurse practitioner. I would rather play with my cats and chickens and garden all day but shockingly no one wants to pay me to do that. It's an unfair world.

I am a safety consultant, meaning I tyoe alot and teach classes to a bunch of rowdy pipeline guys on a regular basis. The fact that I am a woman bothers tons of men in the industry but I dont let that stop me. I am a wife and a mom to a one year old.. I just started raising chickens as a hobby and I love it. I would love for it to be a full time job!
