What key elements do you love about your coop?

Things I love about my coop.

The south facing window that can be opened or closed.
The storage just inside the door.
That I can open the pop door without going all the way in.
The size of my run.
The way the poop boards make cleaning easier.
The linoleum flooring.
The hanging feeder.
That I have power to the coop.
The color matches the house.

Things I would change.

More storage near the coop.
Larger of course. (More chickens that way.)

I'm a big fan of mobile hen houses, whether they be built on utility trailers, old hay wagon running gears or recycled mobile home frames.

Location - Under the mango tree
Ventilation - We have added a wire roof so the top roof can be lifted up either side to catch fresh air which my chickens seem to love
Space - Loads of it!! Too much really for the amount I have but they deserve it

i like that i have a seperate place for my chicks to grow before i add them to the larger coop.

we also built it under a large pecan tree so they have plenty of shade in the summer. it gets really hot in north carolina...hope the pecans don't fall on their heads!!!!

check out my page i just figured out how to add pictures of my coop on it!!! i spent the day cleaning it and getting ready for the new chicks coming next week..
