What killed my chicken

Hi everyone,

I can't figure out how to write a new post but I have three chickens 25 wks today I have one chicken laying the other two haven't started yet surprised it's my americanuna laying first and not my Barre rock anyway Im feeding them all laying feed organic from costco they all love it but is it really bad for the other two to eat it?
 
So, Roxy, my Barred Rock, who was almost 2 years old and quite large and sassy, got ripped to pieces yesterday sometime between 1 and 4 pm. Her head/neck were eaten at and her intestines were pulled out. I say this only to try and figure out what is the predator.
I have an acre lot, heavy with oaks, but it's Winter so they are barren now.
The other hen, an Australorpe, was not hurt at all.
Roxy was left in place, feathers all over, but weirdly, hardly any blood.
It was broad daylight.
We have had coyotes, hawks, opossums and an occasional bobcat.
Their coop is secure, but I want them to range.
Any ideas what did this?

I'm so sorry for your loss I just lost my Barre rock she was 7mo not laying yet and she died in my arms I think she was laying internally :( I would say a coyote or a hawk I would think a hawk would take the chicken away so my guess would be a coyote we have soo many hawks around where we live we only let are chickens out when we are home and just for a short time good luck I totally know how u feel!!

My wife says Pansy is lonely now so I guess I'm off to find another chick this weekend.. But I think maybe Pansy is frustrated because I've kept her in her run instead of letting her free range. From what I read I think it may have been a hawk.
