What killed my chickens? Help!

Today around the middle of the afternoon I found one of my chickens dead with feathers all around her and a big cut down her back. I also found another pile of feathers but that chicken survived being attacked. 2 more of my chickens and a duck are missing withouth any feathers or anything. Any suggestions on what could've killed them?

It sounds like a raptor attack, and hopefully the missing birds are in hiding. If so they should return around dusk. Good luck.

I third the raptor attack idea. Same situation happened to me, except I caught the hawk in the act. Hopefully your missing birds will reappear!
