What killed my pullets? Caution Pics included

Can anyone help me determine what killed my little pullets by looking at these pics?




They all have blood on the back of their heads. 8 of 10 were killed and we can't see where the coop was compromised. Poor babies.

I think that is the work of a weasel. I believe they bite the head and suck out the blood.

Looks like weasel. Or mink. Those like to suck blood.

I had NO IDEA. My poor little chickens. I had them separated from the big chickens to keep them safe because I hatched them in an incubator and they didn't have a mama chicken to protect them from the big hens. I kept them in the house (basement) for months and finally put them in their own tractor coop in the barn (cement floor) didn't think anything could get to them. Thank you for the information.

Sorry for your loss. 1/2" x 1/2 hardware cloth to exclude weasel/mink.
