yea they are cute. very friendly. so they are hens? did u see a rooster? cause they
all have the same size combs, if they are all hens (5) do i need a rooster? LOL. thanks for your reply. :]]

i recieved them, free, when they were little but not chicks. they are a pleasure and enjoy eachother.... how can you tell the age? when can i expect eggs?

When you got them, did they have all their feathers in, or we're they still coming in? Do you have any pictures of when you first got them? That might help a little, at least me it would! ;)

I have 2 of those... Exactly the same.. a bit bigger... Id say about 18 weeks old or so.. And no eggs yet. LOL And.. Im no expert as Im still learning but Ive heard that the waddles and crests turn red when they are getting ready to lay... I might be wrong though.. I have one that has already turned red and the other one looks just like yours.. no color yet in her comb..

If undersides of their feet are white/pinkish - an australorp and if yellow - a jersey giant. I'm guessing they are about 14 wks. Their combs will start turning red when they are ready to lay, but most chickens should be at least 20 weeks before they lay

What color are the underside of your chickens' feet?

you dont need a rooster for them to lay eggs, looks like they are not ready to lay though. Their combs will start to get redder and larger as they get closer to laying, I would guess in 1-2 months.
