Ok, so I am going down to look at some new pullets for 'Bird and the Fluffy Butts today. The girls need some rest and 'Bird just keeps doing his thing. Down to 8 hens and 'Bird. So I have 5 RSL average 4 -5 pounds, 'Bird (RSL 6 -8 pounds) an Ameracana (way to big for her britches..lol) and 2 White Cochins.

Can I get a Silkie to mix in? Will 'Bird hurt her?

My coop and run are totally secure, good ventialtion, good temp in winter. Never gets below freezing (I know, I know.. cant help it dont want to see my babies cold) Cool in summer most of the time. Predator proof totally.

Dont want broody, dont want meat - just want my eggs and a little fun from the new girls. Pets of course!

Any suggestions? They have a ton of different breeds incluing Naked necks.

Oh chicken math, I pray you stay at bay today! only 4... will only bring home 4.....

ah... see you know me tooooo well!!!! that is exactly what is going to happen. It's not going to matter what she is. It's going to be the look in her eyes when we see each other. I can see it now, coming home with 20 new girls that all will go broody every few months and will fly my fence, chase my cat, and poop on my head.
