Thank you! I knew the regular male. Didn't know the other. If I breed the black shoulder to my regular blue hen, what will I get?

You are welcome, all their chicks will be regular India blues but they will be split for black shoulder. Breeding one of the daughters back to her father will give you 50% india blues split Bs, and 50% black shoulder chicks.

What do you mean split for black shoulder?

Its mean the chicks will carry the black shoulder gene, but they will look just like any other india blue chicks. There is only two ways to know if a bird is split to black shoulder, first by knowing his parents, second by breeding them.

The white ticking is the juvenile feathers remaining.
