I watched this bird fly away with one of my chicks a few weeks ago (he took 1 the day before also). Then today I found him dead. What kind of bird is this? I live in Central California. (posted this on the Baby Chicks thread also).

It's a yellow bill magpie, native to California. We have tons of magpies up here but I've never seen a yellow billed.
