So I️ was given an egg to incubate that was found at a local lake (no nest nearby), and 30 days later this pops out. There aren’t any known domestic ducks in the lake so what could this be?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I️ know feet are curled in pic, I’m hoping they correct on their own but I️ will start treatment if they don’t soon.

I've had Rouen mixed babies that look like that. Same with khaki mixed ducklings. What kind of wild ducks do you have? If you know, look up their babies. That should tell you at least if it's wild or domestic.

I️ live in Nevada and everything I’ve looked up doesn’t quite look right. This is what I️ found with what’s near me:

Haha no I️ know it’s a duck I️ have just been looking up pics of local wild ducks and haven’t been able to find much. I️ definitely have a lot of ducks near me

Ok. Yours may be one of them. If so it might be a good idea to look up laws for owning wild ducks.
