what kind of camera?

Well ive finally decided i AM investing in a really nice camera. my boyfriend gave me a Kodak EasyShare Z650 his mom had had, but it just doesn't do everything i wish it would. I was looking at the Nikon D3000, but then realized you have to look through the optical lens to take a picture sooo there goes that one. Anybody recommend a nice DSLR camera??

Youo should try the search feature. There have been so many of these threads lately, I am sure you can find ALL the information you need.

If you take many photos in bright light you will like the optical viewfinder. The screens also use a lot of battery juice.

Digital SLR? You won't go wrong with a Canon or Nikon.

But as debi said, there are quite a few threads out there about cameras.
