I see pretty orange tabbies like that at shelters and at Petsmart (they have rescue cats) all the time! I used to have an orange tabby, and my MIL has one she got from a rescue. You can get purebred cats int hat color, but the pics you are showing aren't of a purebred cat, just regular domestic short hairs, though it has slightly longer hair than most. I have had regular DSH cats with longer hair before, not unheard of, doesn't necessarily mean there's a purebred longer haired parent either, just look for a fluffier kitten when you visit rescues. .
