Hello everyone!

I am up here in the great state of NH, and new to the BYC forum.
I have 5 "tetra links" that I got at TSC, and one of the girls is HUGE.
I mean, she is at least twice the size (high and wide) of the other
girls, at 4 weeks old.
I cant post any pics, due to forum rules, but they are white now.
They were all yellow with white wings as babies. This chick looks an
awful lot like pics I saw on Google images of Cornish chicks, even
with the bare patches on the wings.
If it is a Cornish, what do I do now?!? I have been feeding it
layer crumbles (medicated). Any advice is appreciated...

It sounds like you have a cornish. Unfortunately these birds are used for eating. They dont live very long because they were breed to be meaties. You could either wait for it to be old enough to eat or you could sell it to someone else who will eat her. You could also keep her and not eat her but just be prepared she wont have a long life.

def a Cornish X. best to come off the medicated.crumbles after first couple of weeks of life...they will still be ok for eating in 8-9 weeks if you switch off the medicated.

if you have never processed, read up on the meat forum section. it is not as difficult as you might think and the meat is far superior to what you purchase in grocery stores.
