shes about 4 weeks old now. She was sold to me at TSC as a female Golden Comet but she's not showing *any* red coloration - just this very pale buff.. Her legs are yellow. Any guesses?

The slightly darker buff that you see on her shoulders and chest is actually lighter than it appears in the photos.

Could she be a leghorn? It seems unusual that a hatchery would get chicks mixed up since they sell in such large quantities. Like, how would the wrong hen or Roo even get into one of their large breeding pens?

Im not familiar with golden comet chickens but it isn't uncommon for farms stores, like TSC, to label chicks wrong. I've gone into our our local farm stores and have seen the chick bins with wrong labels on them. You read many threads on here where someone was sold a chick as one breed but they end up being another. Hopefully someone else will be able to tell you if you have a golden comet

Golden comets honestly... Some are pretty light, its just a sex link bird so there is variation... I think it could be what it was labeled as... Though the bins at tsc are notorious for incorrect info
