What kind of chick is this

Got this chick from a friend who has different types of chicks and buys other people's eggs so he doesn't have a clue as to what it is. I am thinking Rooster but not sure of breed

There is no way that that isn't a cockerel. He looks like a mix for now, but I don't claim expertise.

Minnowey that's what I'm thinking but he said he thought it was a mollted Orphington, I don't see how doesn't look anything like a Orphington. I have several both lavender and buff Orphington
