hi im going to buy some firtile eggs for my incbator but i cant make up my mind of what breed i should get i already have a brred rock white leghorn d,uccle rirs and they are all very cute and good breeds i want to add some new breeds and i want a small breed so my d,uccle will have a friend she is at the bottom of the pecking order and i dont want her to get lonely can anyone name some breeds thanks

So you want a bantam. Why don't you get on a hatchery site, browse their selection of bantams, and see which you like?
Cochins are really nice and Old English Game bantams are my favorites, but there are also barred rock bantams, bantam Easter Eggers, silkies, Japanese bantams, orpington bantams, sebright bantams, speckled sussex bantams, dutch bantams, and a lot of others.

I thought I would ask my question on this thread, as it kind of relates... I currently have two Rhode Island Reds and three Barred Rocks. My Reds are more domineering than my Rocks, and I'm wondering about adding new chicks this spring.
I would love to add a couple Wyandottes, a couple Australorps and a couple Buff Orpingtons, but I have read that the Reds (being a bit more aggressive) can sometimes be bullies to these docile breeds, especially when introducing them to an existing flock.
Does anyone have any thoughts or advice? Thanks!!

If introducing Wyandottes be aware at least my experience can be bullies as well, Australorps and Buffs are good to add. If your RiRs are known bullies when adding new birds in I would cage the trouble kids until everyone else is adjusted.
