That could explain why she looks sort of like several different breeds but not *exactly* like any of them.

I got it from a local guy here in Southern California who sells chickens. I showed him the picture and he said he thought it looks like a welbar.

Did he breed them himself or order hatchery birds for resale?

If he bred them himself he ought to know what he was breeding. But if he bought hatchery birds knowing what hatchery they came from might help.

Looks very much like my Brown Leghorns, but no white earlobes and not a white egg!

Could’ve ordered from a hatchery and assumed she was a welbar.

I believe that Empordensas and Penedesencas are the only two breeds with carnation combs.
