What Kind of Chicken Is This?

Yepper,a G.L wyondotte,she looks like my moe moe.My moe is a sweetie,lets me hold her and talks to me. Its just too cute. My kids think Im crazy talking to my chicks,but they are my babies too..lol She just layed her first egg after a very long long time of molting.(first time she molted,she is 19 mos old)

you guys are great. i've been stressing over not knowing what these girls are. how about one more? are both of these black stars?

Yes both are BSLs they come in a variety of golden-red/black to almost solid black with very little red under the neck.

Look on feathersite under sex-links then go to Kintaline farms from there and see their Black Rocks.

No, I'm not playing. I'm serious. I got about 30 (25 plus extras) mixed heavy brown egg laying hens and aside from the RIR's and possibly the New Hampshires (and two Barred Rocks), I have no idea what the others are. Anyway, just wanted to say that I'm serious and I'm embarrassed that I don't know what these are. I have a bunch of black ones with different areas of gold feathers. A couple have very golden heads and necks with the rest black and some have black heads with golden feathers around their necks. And then there are the Golden Lace Wyandottes (which I just learned about in this post). Sorry if it seems like I'm kidding.
