I am so excited. I am getting hens this spring for the first time in many years. My dear hubby is building my coop. I want to order chicks and was wondering which way to go. I was thinking that I would like to have 2 Plymouth rocks, 2 golden comets and 2 Silkies.

Can I do this? Can I mix the breeds? Will one tend to pick on the other?
Thanks for any advice you might offer! [IMG]

I have 2 EEs, 1 Faverolle, 1 sillkie and a polish rooster. Nobody gets picked on, but the silkie seems a little left out sometimes. I have read that chickens of the same breed often stick together so it might be good to get two of each.
