This guy is for sale, listed as an 'Americana' cross. Can't quite decide what type comb he has. Any guesses (or sound answers)? To me it looks flat in the center with raised edges, like a crown (coronation comb?), but maybe it's an optical illusion and it's really a pea comb?

I once had some Americana crosses with pea combs that were best described as very thick single combs. I can't tell for sure if this rooster has this kind of comb, or a regular single comb. Or he may have a coronation comb (I've never heard of this type of comb).

I can see two sets of ridges, but am not sure if there is a third set on the other side, that isn't visible in the picture. I think he's beautiful ,though.

Need a better pic, but to me it appears to be a modified pea comb. Like often seen in the Gamefowl, which is from crossing single/pea combs.

I was thinking modified pea comb all so..

I'd go with the modified pea comb, too. In the heterozygote, you tend not to get the three equal sized ridges but often see the center one predominate.

Can we have a pic from the top?
