What kind of duck is he???

I have a (now one year old) male duck. I'm pretty sure he is a mix, but just curious as to what he is since we have baby duck eggs under a Khaki female that are due in about 2 weeks.

It is a rouen duck. I have some myself and this is what the male looks like

He's missing the white neck band. His overall color seems a little off. Does he have a brown chest? He may be a mix. But he is definitely part rouen or a mallard crossed with a heavy duck.

I too noticed he was missing the white ring. He he did have a white ring when his green feathers were coming in on his head, but then it went away. Same with my Khaki male.



He is a BIG duck. All four of these ducks are the same age. But him and the female all the way to the left are about double the size of the other two. lol.

I can say for sure, he is not pure rouen. I'm not sure if the wild pattern would be dominant over pekin white or buff, but he's mixed with something. Seeing him from the front confirms that. He is very pretty though.

He looks like he may be rouen. If not, then MAYBE blue swedish/cayuga?
