what kind of duck is she?

I think she's a campbell and she's such a sweetie although those buffs are beautiful too! I'm about ready to get one of each breed! lol Sahara has given us an egg every morning and I'm so excited! I just have been putting them in the fridge, haven't cooked them yet and I didn't wash them, I was going to wash the shells off when I go to use them hope that's the right way to do it and just with soapy water right? lol I'm such a newbee!

that is not a Buff orp duck, too dark of a color. Buff Orpington ducks. (first picture has the buff in front of a Silver Appleyard) Khaki Campbell ducks, various ages and various molts
Nice birds :) So is the OP's duck a KC? Yours look like mine, and the OPs seems very light in comparison :idunno

Yep I was thinking scrambling them and my dog likes eggs too! I got a recipie online for homemade baked dog food and it calls for eggs

This is going to be so much fun!

I have had buffxcampbells... And she definetly looks more KC. Yup.

Does she lay in a nest? My girls laid in nests in the duck coop. Only one time did I find an egg in the yard. LOL. I miss them... I am allergic to duck eggs... BUT they taste SO GOOD!

I found eggs all over! My girls are crazy
One just ran out to the pool and plopped it out in seconds before jumping in. She also lays them in bushes, in front of the door, under the chicken roosts, etc.

I have stepped on a few :gig

I don't like the taste of duck eggs at all. I feed them back to my flock.

it's so cute...she made a little nest with the corn leaves and snuggles there and lays her egg. I was hoping she would lay them in an easy place for me to get to. I've seen a few garter snakes (first time dealing with them...scares the #&*** out of me!) so I didn't want to have to go into the kennel and dig through straw!
