Is she brown or blue? Im having trouble telling from the pic. But if she is blue id agree with the above post. Crested blue swedish. And she might just be checking you or something out, holding her head like that.

Shes grayish, but her feathers seemed pretty unhealthy when i got her and i think shes working on that. she always holds her head crooked. she has a little skin tag on the one side of her crest, i thought maybe that interferes with her eyesight, so thats why she looks out the other eye.

She is prolly a blue swede then. And then what you said about the skin tag/crest blocking an eye sounds like a pretty good reason for her to look sideways.

Ive never seen a skin tag on a duck before,do You happen to have a picture of it?

this is the best i have right now. dont know if shell let me get close enough to get a good one. its like a skin tag growing out of her puff, with feathers on it. i call it her side ponytail....

If it always holds its head weird, it could have had some nutritional issues when it was a baby. Otherwise it could be a double crested maybe??? (Meaning it got the crested gene from both parents. Those usually die though.)

Definitely different. I would say she is a blue Swedish mix, possibly not the first cross with Blue Swedish either. Very pretty crested duck. I imagine the little puff on the side is why she holds her head like that or it is possible, I suppose, that she is blind in that eye. If you could catch her you could cut the feathers on that side(carefully!) but if it isn't bothering her, I would leave her alone (sometimes our helping is worse than our leaving things alone).

Edited to say: I think she is definitely double crested, I have a few and haven't had any problem with them dying in the shell, myself.
