What kind of duck is this?

This duck is a male and he is a little over a year old. I got him from a market and the seller didnt know what the duck was.
Anyone have any ideas? He may be a mixed breed.

Hard to tell with that tiny photo, but it looks like a FEMALE Rouen.

No drake feather = female. Looks like a mixed breed....picture is kinda small

I can't see a drake feather in the picture though.

I agree though - looks like a Rouen as far as body-shape...but is that a hint of blue I see in the wings and on the rump? I demand a larger picture!

Im sure he is a male. He just molted so he doesnt have a drake feather right now. I have no idea how to make the picture bigger though. I took it with my phone, would that matter on how big it can be?

Still looks like a female Rouen....wouldn't "he" have his drake feather after molting?
Does he/she make a loud QUACK or a softer raspy noise?

They can lose their drake feathers during a molt. A voice check should tell. Does it quack loudly or have a soft, raspy "reep reep....reep reep....reep reep" voice?

Ok...definitely boy then. I would guess a rouen or buff mix since I also see a bit of the blue tint to some of the feathers. He kind of looks like a duck I used to have. She was a khaki campbell/buff cross.
