What kind of duck is this.

If they're really large, they're Rouen, if not, they're mallard. To me, they look Rouen.

Never seen a mallards with a crest unless it was mixed with something else like a rouen and i have both here at my place.
So i believe yours to be rouens.

He is a male, and i wasn't sure what they really were and one of my friends came over and she is the one who said they were Muscovy's and all of my rouens are male but one, ( I also have 1 ancona, 1 runner duck, 1 Khaki Campbell, and the black one is either a east indie are a Cayuga )

You need to know how many boys you have or they will hurt the one girl (assuming you have only one) by gang raping her. That can result into leg injuries or even prolapse of her productive area. Ideally you want 1 boy for 3-9 girls. So don't take your friends word, voice sex them. That is 100% knowing without sex venting them. They are big enough now that they have developed their voices (usually around week 6-7).

Oh forgot the greenish tint is a good sign that it is a boy. Also do not get more crested ducks. It is a fatal gene and you never want two crested birds to breed with each other. Crested to non-crested is ok.

I have always heard that inheriting the double crested gene is fatal, but that not all of a crested/crested breeding will result in that inheritance. From my understanding, isn't like only a quarter of them or a third of the ducklings will get both genes, and not develop/die, then another third will inherit one crested gene and be crested, and the rest will get neither of the genes? I have seen many breeders that keep many crested ducks together, and still produce nice crested and uncrested ducklings.

Am I wrong about that?

They look just like my rouens. I also have crested rouen who looks just like that.
