So I was going to wait for my other ducks to arrive from holderreads in a few weeks, but I convinced a friend to get ducks (he lives on a nice quiet lake, so why not?) but he didn't want to raise them when they were babies so I get to raise them! SCORE!!! They are too cute, but I dont know what kinds they are. Also, I think they are about 5 days old, but I am not sure, any guesses on the age (I want to know this so I can celebrate their birthdays, hehe) The feed store people didn't have a clue either.

Olive (the black one) and Arlo/Arlene (depending on the gender)

Chauncy (runner, I'm guessing, but what color?)

I have runners and I think you are correct on the runner... the black one kind of looks like a black Swede, but I am not certain. I love it when people ask because I am new to ducks compared to most on here, and I like to see if my answers are close to what the experts say. I'm sure some with more experience will chime in here soon.

Cayuga and Pekin? Black Swedes usually have a bigger yellow area on their little chests...at least mine have.
They are adorable, whatever they are!

I'd say you have a fawn and white runner and a cayuga, I have both and thats exactly what they look like. The other may be a pekin, I really don't have any idea, could be a buff. Those are both yellow when little but it doesn't look like my pekins. Mine are about 2 weeks old now, but here's a link to when they were new babies, about 5 days old as well, if you want to compare

i just bought 2 ducklings yesterday at an Ark. Feed / farm supply. they look just like yours! i got on here to see if I could learn what kind they are too.

I have found that the black one is a Cayuga and the yellowish one is either the white and fawn runner or a buff.

we got them because last week only 1 of my 6 mallard eggs hatched and "Moe" needed some friends. he was so loney and loud last sunday we had to buy a little stuffed play ducky so Moe would be quite. we introduced Curly and Larry today and all is good.

the black one is def' cayuga, the upright yellow one has to be a runner and the other yellow one looks like an aylesbury to me. do you get them over there?
