Was just wondering what kind of ducks all you BYC'ers have and who's your most favorite & why?

Was also wondering if everyone keeps a pool or something in their pens for the ducks?

Mine are stuck with the chickens at night, free range during the day. i keep 3 small rubber feeding 'dishes' (for livestock) in the far corner full of water. they're pretty good about keeping the mess over there, lol.

Here's a few of my little, spoiled brats...

I have pekins, rouens, and cayugas, plus 2 geese. Mine are never in a pen, they have full-time free range of our pond and 10 acres (plus some of the adjacent government land when they feel like 'getting away').
I believe there are 7 pekins, 4 rouens, 3 cayugas, and an american blue goose 'on the pond', then a young embden goose that stays in the yard, and another 3 rouens and a cayuga baby in a pen, also in the yard. They will be going to auction or the pond in a few weeks, depending on their sexes

3-1/2 months old:
2 WH ducks
2 Khaki Campbell duck
1 KC drake
2 Golden Hybrid 300 ducks

3 weeks old:
1 WH duck
1 WH drake
2 KC ducks

Here is the pen I use when they are not free-ranging. I don't put a pool in their night pen - I put them in a separate area of the chicken coop, and they make too much of a mess! When they are free-ranging, I put the kiddie pool in the yard.

They LOVE hanging out by the back door, and will look through the glass to see if we are inside (at 7 weeks)

My KC drake that was supposed to be a hen! (11 weeks) He is starting to get very pretty coloring now. You can really see the striping on the hybrid's face in this one.
