what kind of eggs are these?

Discussion in 'Managing Your Flock' started by the simple life, May 14, 2008.

  1. I ordered some eggs online, they are suppose to be Araucana .They came today. They are all light blue or green. Here is the confusion, he marked them in pencil #1 #2 #3 and then splash, od, rnbo. What are the last couple suppose to mean? This is the first time I have seen that on any Araucana that I have ordered and I haven't been able to get a hold of the seller to ask him about it.

Well most people who offer Araucana/Ameraucana eggs are getting their birds Confused with the True breeds. Araucana and Ameraucana are two completely different pure breeds. And the ones you get from a hatchery or feedstore are usually Easter Eggers. Sounds like he labeled them based on order and coloration of birds.
Let us know how the hatch goes!
  3. Will do, thanks for the info!!
