What kind of feed for 3 week old chicks?

If I were new to brooding chicks I'd keep them on the medicated starter. One less variable to go wrong.

When I had more experience I might opt for the non-medicated if I were so inclined.

I used Flock Raiser for years, but not with chicks that young.

For the average person I would agree, but my family and I are allergic to environmental, food and medicines...which is the reason for us to start keeping chickens-we'll be starting our first garden this summer as well. We have raspberries, an orange tree, a fig and avocado tree. Eventually I'd like to be able to have chickens to eat, but for now, one step at a time. My daughter's list of foods to eat is getting smaller-she has Genetic disorders that weaken the immune system and she doesn't build it by exposure-its taking meds and all out as much as possible that is helping her. Thanks for the input.
