silkies dont lay well. they like to sit and hatch to often. but i love mine anyway. a few eggs, lots of babies, cant get much better than that.

If you want something different looking, try a Naked Neck(Turken). Mine are fantastic layers. They have only missed a couple of days this winter. They just a keep on layin. I have had several double-yolkers from them. Great birds with good personalities to match
