I own a QH/TB gelding who turned 28 in May... He's retired now but I've had him since I was 10 and he was my rockstar eventing horse! I also own a 10 year old mini/shetland cross who is his pasture buddy. She doesn't have to do much but give occassional rides to my BF's kids. I also lease a gorgeous Hanoverian gelding who I do dressage with. I'll be showing him at 3rd level in 2 1/2 weeks trying to get a spot at USDF regional championships! It'll be my first time back in competion in about 5 years and my first time at 3rd level so it should be very interesting, hopefully in a good way
QH/TB crosses are great! They're multi-disciplined.
I have a 12 year old KMH mare, 15'2hh.
I also own a 4 year old KMH gelding, 16'2hh. He is registered black, but my farrier and I think they goofed--we both agree that he is dark bay. (He also said that my horse could be "Amish Black," which is only black if kept indoors 24/7/365.)
Finally, I own a rescue, a 4 year old gelding, non-registered but OBVIOUS QH, Red Dunn, 15'3hh.
