I am guessing that is exactly what I will be doing. If only I can get my boss to listen to me. I mentioned that the bottom sliding tray was to transfer the eggs into a couple days before hatching and he said that the trays were desigend to tip the chicks out so they fall down to the bottom!
I think I will be able to demonstrate that they don't tip far enough for anything to fit between them and the sides. Sheesh!

Looks like a good bator to me. My guess is that capacity is about 180-240 eggs, depending on the egg racks or if you put eggs in, while still in a flat. 2.5 dz/flat
Thats an older GQf, it will hold 24 doz eggs, Provided you use the GQF egg trays. The Dicky's are basicily the same, Ernest D. used a GQF for a pattern, I have both and theres not a dimes worth of difference in either
