What kind of incubator to get??

I have 5 little giant incubators, 3 maintain temps +/- .5F, the other is +/- .75, the last one was given to me new because they said it didn't work, one loose wire fixed and it runs. I had an old LG that had a wafer and I could not maintain any temp with it.

I use only digital thermometers, I test all together to see if all work, and I check them against 2 ring thermometers.

I have had the same hatch rate of a few people near me with cabinet incubators.

The biggest drawback I have found is the need to refill the water tray, when you put the water in the tray it takes a few hours for the water temp to stabalize and allow the temp in the incubator to stabalize, however all you need to do is place hot water in the tray.

The digital thermometers I use are accurite from Lowes, they are 6.00 each, the ring thermometers were from a local feed store, 4.00 each.

OK! Thanks for the info on the thermometers! I have a couple I use from when I had snakes and lizards.
