What kind of lock on the coop door?

I also use a hasp but use a double ended bolt snap to lock it. Worked for 13 yrs.

Oh I forgot, I also had the slider latch on it but I think the hasp with snap was really all I needed.

One way to stop 4 legged thief’s is a simple hasp ( installed correctly) and a lockable D-ring. See pictures. The D-ring has threads to make sure it stays closed. This won’t stop a 2 leg thief with a crow bar, but hard to stop a 2 legged thief at all..

You've never had a problem with these? Do you know if a raccoon has tried them? Seems like they could figure that one out.

Haha didn’t see your post .. that’s what I seen a lot of people use, I sure a really determined raccoon could figure it out, but depending on where it is at, high enough off the ground he has to hang on with the hands, I don’t see them getting it open with one hand.
