What kind of marans?

I have a BLM rooster, and he's older than that, and still does'nt have that much copper on him.

Yeah, I ignored the brown bird completely in my post because I didn't think it was a Marans and the poster was only wanting to know about the white ones.

It doesn't look like BCM to me either. I was just looking at Meyers' catalog and noticed they have a marans in their collection called Golden Cuckoo. Maybe that's what yours is?

I also ordered the same from mypetchicken.com and I have a similar chick too-- I think it is a golden cuckoo too

its not a golden cuckoo as it has lacing not baring. doesn't look like any type of marans at all. the white might be blue splash marans

I suppose it is possible the hatchery is breeding wildly off-type BCMs.....

1 blue maran
