What kind of Puppy is This?

A friend sent me this picture of an 8 week old puppy that she was told was a pure lab.

I don't think it is...I told her it looked like a Lab x Pit Bull cross. The ears are too small (IMO) for even an 8 week old lab and the face looks...different than a labs.

Yes, some of them can have white, mostly the chocolates but I've seen some blacks.

White chest can crop up randomly in many breeds. Though no desirable in many of them its not usually a sign of crossing.

I can see why you are confused. The set of those tiny ears and the slant of the eyes are just not right for a lab. The white on the chest is acceptable if under a certain size. I wouldn't pay money for this dog-unless of course its one of those designer LabPits. Just kidding...I'm making fun of the$1500.00 Labradoodles and Schnoodles which are, while cute, are mixed breed dogs you can get from an animal shelter.

Nah, this one is being offered up for free. A family found it on the side of a road and raised it until it was old enough to be with a new family.
