What kind of quail for indoor egglaying?

'ello all! I am considering getting a small group of egglaying birds for an apartment setting, and from what I've heard so far quail would probably work best for this. Is there a specific quail that offers a decent compromise between apartment suitability and high egg production?

Wow, I would go with the Cortunix. Hens only of course, because of the crowing. Depends on the egg size, jumbos lay bigger eggs. The hens are pretty quiet. But can make little noises that possibly can be heard through walls, if they are very thin. But if you only have a couple you should be fine. And mine lay lots of eggs some even lay 8 or 9 eggs a week. But most only one per day. And Cortunix start laying around 6 weeks. Dave

Definitely coturnix! Their eggs also have many health benefits over chicken eggs, Coturnix are definitely my favorite for egg laying

I agree with everyone else. From what I've read, Coturnix are best for eggs.
