They are pretty birds though! I think ours must be similar in age, too... it looks like the OP came into my back yard and took a pic of mine!
I actually thought they were Buff Orpingtons when they were babies. Then I decided no they must be Rhode Island or New Hampshires. Then my 13 yo son came in the other day and said mom I'm pretty sure they are red sex links. Lol I started looking at them and sure enough he was right! HaHa.

I kept thinking I got the wrong thing b/c I was expecting Golden Comets to be, well... golden! I'm so glad I stumbled across this thread!
Red Sexlinks have many different names, including Golden Comet, Red Star, Cinnamon Queen, ISA Brown, Gold Sexlink, etc. They're all the same, just different trade names.
