What kind of rooster should I get? (Closed)

I have experience with EE hens but I do have ameraucana roosters. They are the sweetest rooster I’ve ever had. Since EEs are a mix of ameraucanas I expect them to be nice. EEs babies can have so many different colors so their offspring is beautiful.
Thank you very much for the info! I am very excited now about adding either breed to the flock : D

If you are willing to raise some extras and butcher them, then I would suggest getting several cockerels each of several breeds, and plan to eat all but one. I've noticed that the "same" breed can be a bit different if they come from a different hatchery or different breeder, so your experiences may not match what anyone else has.

I've had times when I bought chickens of several breeds, and my favorites were not the ones I expected to like best :)

I agree

Maybe a Pheonix? Might be harder to get, but none of the male's I've ever had were close to aggressive.
This was a delightful suggestion, and we had a lot of fun looking at pictures! Gorgeous birds, especially the silver duckwings. We're looking for a good layer though, so sadly I will have to settle for pictures of the Phoenix : )

We've decided! I really appreciate all the suggestions we got, and I may be adding some new hens of various breeds : )

Done a lot of comparative research and we finally settled.

Its too hot here for the chantecler, apparently we're not getting many summer days below 95f.

The easter egger is tragically too small.

We ended up back with the australorp! They are a little smaller than I'd thought, which is why I'd been hesitating. They are great layers, good meat birds, very friendly, heat and cold tolerant, and they come in blue! There is a local breeder too : )

Two years time, I shall be posting some very interesting hybrid pictures. Blue australorp/buff brahma/buff orphington and blue australorp/barred cochin!

Congrats on making that choice.
I can't wait to see pictures of those hybrids! Who knows, maybe they'll be the most efficient laying hens in the world!
