What kind of shoes do you wear out to the chickens?

I know cowboy boots look really cool and countrified, but they do not slip off. Usually when I go to the chickens I have my hands full, feeders, treats, egg baskets, etc. so slip on shoes are a must. Winter tall muck inusulated boots are great for snow, crocs for warmer weather. Both can be hosed off easily or cleaned in the grass on the way back to the house. Either way, NEVER wear them in the house. Actually my crocs are disgusting looking, full of paint and such. I would never even wear them in public - the chickens do not mind a bit. What is nice you can wear them bare-footed or with socks. Isn't life grand?

crocs unless the weather is absolutely awful...then rain boots
gotta have easy slip on and offs

I found me a pair of the L.L. Bean boots for chicken and garden wear. Lace up. But, def had to go to ebay.

I wore out 2 pair of high top wellies out back. Hadn't been able to find any more, that I could afford...even on ebay. They just seem to leak and split around the soles, as much as I would rather have them.

I wear a pair of flip-flops in the summer. Then I wear a pair of hiking shoes, I wear these only when I feed the chickens. I never wear my feed shoes anywhere but outside to the chicken pens.

I bought some rubber nurses clogs. They are so comfortable and waterproof. They are also a lot tougher than I originally though. I play "dig" with my chickens in them, using a shovel and I havent damaged the bottoms yet.

All kinds of shoes. Flip-flops, sneakers (in summer of course

), my Dansko clogs, rubber boots. I desperately want to buy a pair of Wellington boots that have a chicken theme on them...
