Crossbred chicks. The one on the left is not pure silkie, and it is probably a cross from a non-feather legged breed because there isn't the degree of feathering from two feather legged parents. A good silkie is feathered to the middle toe or beyond. The one on the right may be a polish cross, and because of the cross the lacing will probably be sporatic or incomplete.

feathersite.com has pictures of all sorts of different breeds of polish, it could still be a pure bred.

Do you have pictures of you silkies legs so we can see the exact feathering?
