We got it from Atwood's in Clarksville, Arkansas. It came out of the straight run mix bin. We grabbed a bunch of polishes but we grabbed this little bantam chick that looked like it was going to be a blue or silver color when it got older. Looks kind of like a self blue d'uccle except it's more silver and has clean legs. It is very silver in color, has a muff, clean dark/slate legs. I believe it's a hen. Wings tend to go downwards when it walks like our Japanese Black Tail bantam. It's very pretty makes almost bird like noises such as soft whistles until spooked then it cackles like a chicken.

Atwood's supposedly gets their chicks from Ideal so that is very likely or even a blue dutch bantam. I just looked on feathersite and there is a blue silver dutch bantam that looks just like her, thank you!

Pea comb, beard/muffs, slate legs, I'm going with Easter Egger. A very pretty one at that!

It wouldn't be a D'anvers with that muff, would it? Either way, you're awfully lucky. That'a beautiful bird.

Check out BoggyBottom Bantam's website and find the pictures of the self-blue d'anvers- they look close to your bird. Also, maybe post on the D'anvers thread and someone there can tell you if that's what your girl is.

We must remember that the OP got this chick at a hatchery, I doubt a blue d'Anver could be found at a hatchery. The only varieties I have seen are Quail and Blue Quail. I think it would be much more realistic to find an EE, even a solid blue one.

OP, does your chick have a rose comb or a pea comb?
