What kind of worms are these?

Go ahead and buy Zimectrin Gold equine paste wormer. Give all your chickens a "pea" sized amount orally. Redose in 10 days. You can put it on a small piece of bread to give individually to each chicken. Be careful, they'll try to steal the treated bread from each other, then you'll never know which ones got dosed or overdosed. Your feed store should carry the z-gold, it'll be in the horse section.

Just got the wormer. Do I give all a pea sz even pullets?

How old are the pullets? And, are they Bantams?

Hmmm I just got this message and it says 4 days old. They are black sex links and a bantam EE. They are all still alive yet so guess I didn't od them. And I haven't seen any more worms.

So we have been parasite free since this post last year. Yesterday I found tapeworm segments in poop

We know the treatment protocol from last time but I'm wondering if anyone knows how long tapeworm lives in the soil/insects? We are thinking about moving all our chickens to another location for X amount of time for the lifecycle of the tapeworm (Soil/insects). Would this be effective or pointless?
Background: these chickens were our first chickens and we bought them as adult hens last year. A few days after having them we found the tapes in their poop. Did the worms live dormant in the chickens this whole time or could it be from the tapeworm issue from last year and it still living in our soil? Educate me on tapeworm please. I want to get rid of this and not have to deal with it every spring/summer!
