What kinda beding?

thanks guys! I will look in to geting some Stall Dry and that other stuff to. I have a 9'X17' coop. The brooder will not be in the coop in the winter. I have roosts but they dont sleep on them. I will have to build more befor winter so the all can roost. I clean my coop every month. But in thw winter last year i cleand it once. And i was all like it will have to stink till March then cuz i am not cleaning that out agen! lol

Were the bins are is were the brooder is now. It is not like the one in the pic. The one i have now is a box with a door on the top. Thanks for all the help!!

Your roosts look pretty narrow for standard chickens. They don't really "grip on" to the roosts like a sparrow does but will just sit on the roosts and cover their feet with their feathers. Wider roosts (eg 2 x 4's with the flat side up) might make them more likely to use the roosts, help prevent frostbite to their toes in the winter, and make scooping out most of the poop even in winter much easier to help keep the smell down. And ventilation!
