I dont know what kinds of chcickens are good for lliving on a farm and i would like to know.

Pretty much whatever you want. It depends upon what you want to get out of them. Eggs? Meat? Just pets?

How do you want to house them?

I would probably start with some heavyweight breeds: Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, Australorps, Plymouth Rocks....etc as they seem to be the most hearty (in general.) The possibilities are endless.

i would gets anything like a silkie for a farm, If you want them for egg laying and broodies i would go for orpingtons or light sussex, if you wanted them for eggs laying, Ancona, Rhold island red, cream legbars, Leghorn, Black rocks and other crosses. Or for egg, meat and broody i would go for light sussex :)
