What light bulb for thermostat

I've busted 2 bulbs now, trying to keep the right temperature.
They are normal bulbs, I do have a heat light, but currently using that one for the chicks right now.

In my incubator I always used a 100 watt standard light bulb. Make sure the light bulb is pretty close to thermostat, I keep the space between the light bulb and thermostat about a thumbs space away. Hope this helps you.
