What made you happy today?

I've been training a friend's dogs while he recovers from Bypass and Valve Replacement surgery. Sent two to a field trial today, and one got her second licensed win.

Today he entered her in one of the spring federation trials in NC, and she won again. 3 trials entered with dogs I have been training and 3 wins.

After turning out both layer coops to free range early this morning they all greeted me late this afternoon running head on into me. I was on the tractor and had to stop. Had a real chicken barricade on my hands. I knew what they wanted and weren't taking no for an answer. It was "scratch" time. I scatter a gallon of scratch late afternoon most days weather permitting and they know when it is time for their treat. What made my day yesterday was having a Delaware Girl ride with me to get a new bag of scratch. She got the first out of the new bag when I got it open. She jumped up on the hood of the John Deere and proceeded to the steering wheel and promptly went into roost mode.

I got cinder blocks delivered to make garden beds with today. The guy who delivered them bought 3 dozen quail eggs.

I also got one garden bed built and halfway filled with soil.
